This year we will be in the land of Israel! Next year we will be free!

That was not a typo.
There is a tradition that the correct translation of of the first statement is that in this current year which already came, the Messiah will arrive and we will move to Land of Israel.
However true freedom will not arrive until next year.
Why is this so? Why can't everything happen this year?
