Rabbi B teaches a fun and engaging rhyme all about the five little bees. They're hiding away and can't wait to jump out buzz around.
Lyrics:
Here is the Hive,
But where are the Bees?
Hiding away where nobody Sees,
Watch and you'll see them fly out of the Hive
One, Two, Three, Four, Five.
TIPS FOR EDUCATORS: The number five features so much in children's rhymes because most of us have five fingers, which makes the song easy to act out. You can use your undressed hand and let the children use their imagination or you can use a glove with pompous or even bee stickers on your fingers. The first time you get to five, have your five bees fly all over the children heads, even brushing past them. The next time, hold by four a few seconds and let the suspense build. The children will be expecting the number five and for you to jump up and fly around their heads. This is suggested to increase their ability to delay gratification and builds the cognitive ability to expect and predict.
