Rabbi B
Chag Sameach and Happy Sukkot from Rabbi B.
Rabbi B loves Sukkot, and he is usually pretty good at building, but in this song, he finds himself at the mercy of the wind as it topples over his sukkah again and again. Once Rabbi B gets together with some friends to rebuild it does the sukkah stay standing.
TIPS FOR EDUCATORS: Ask your child(ren) what kind of material they would make a Sukkah out of. Ask them what kind of tools they would use when building a Sukkah. In this video, Rabbi B made his sukkah background out of colourful popsicle sticks and warm glue.
Lyrics:
Sitting sitting in the Sukkah,
Sitting sitting in the Sukkah,
Sitting sitting in the Sukkah,
On a Sukkot day.
Oh the wind is gonna blow.....
(make wind noises)
Oh no, our Sukkah fell down!
We are going to have to fix it.
(Ask: What should we use?)
We're gonna fix it with a hammer,
We're gonna fix it with a hammer,
We're gonna fix it with a hammer,
For a Sukkot day.
Eating...
Drinking...
Sleeping...
All together....
