Rabbi David Kaplan

What can one achieve in five minutes? Why must a Jewish man wear a kippah on his head? What is the purpose of the mitzvah of bikkurim, the bringing of the first fruits? The first fruits, were brought from the seven species for which the Land of Israel is praised. A farmer, upon seeing the first figs, grapes or pomegranates ripen, must devote the first fruits to G‑d, by bringing them to the Holy Temple & praising G-d for these gifts.
