Rabbi Chaim Richman
Israel arrived at Sinai a united nation, with one heart. Israel received Torah at Sinai with one heart. And now, as we open the book of Bamidbar (Numbers), Israel readies itself to proceed forward into the land of Israel, united and with one heart. This Sunday, on Jerusalem Day, which commemorates the liberation and unification of Jerusalem during the 1967 Six Day War, we will celebrate once again the unity of the people of Israel, which is the message and the magic of Jerusalem, the place of G-d's Chosen House.
Bamidbar (Numbers 1:3 - 4:20)
Parashat Bamidbar is read on Shabbat:
Iyar 26, 5779/June 2, 2019
