Rabbi Shais Taub
In a special talk given to women (Likkutei Sichos Vol. 9 pp. xiv-xv) the Rebbe reveals a piece of essential parenting advice hidden in the first Rashi of this week’s portion. We must engage our children by telling them stories. More than anything, it is storytelling, particularly about the holy Jewish men and women throughout our history, that captures the attention of our children and influences them to desire to continue in the right path.
At this class, which was delivered on the 10th yartzeit of Alta Shula Swerdlov of Yerushalayim, Rabbi Shais Taub elaborates on this idea and shares a favorite story of the young shlucha who was three years old at the time of her tragic passing.
This class, for women, is given at Chabad of the Five Towns — Levi Yitzchak Library on Wednesdays at 11:00 AM and posted afterwards on SoulWords.org.
