Do You Really Think We Come From Monkeys?

If we come from monkeys, then as we evolve, we get better. But if God created the first person, then he was greater. The Jewish view of creation and its purpose is to return to the greatness of our past, the greatness of Adam before he sinned and ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Rabbi Dr. David Gottlieb is a senior lecturer at Ohr Somayach, Jerusalem. An author and lecturer, Rabbi Gottlieb received his Ph.D. in mathematical logic at Brandeis University and later become (visiting) Associate Professor of Philosophy at Johns Hopkins University.[2] A student of Jean Van Heijenoort, he received a doctorate in 1970 for his thesis The Use of Formal Systems in Logic and Mathematics. He has authored two books of Jewish thought, The Informed Soul and Reason to Believe were published by Artscroll in 1990, and Mosaic 2017has recently been reprinted.
