The Torah portion of B’Shalach is a portrait of faith in action. From following after G-d into the howling desert, to the ‘alternative reality’ prophetic experience of the splitting of the sea, to the tests of lack of water and the bitter becoming sweet, to the Heavenly nourishment of manna and on to the unprovoked attack by Amalek….the common thread that bind all these amazing events forms the major theme of this week’s Torah portion: Emunah, living a life of faith and making it real on a soul level…having faith not only in the face of the miraculous, but in everyday life as well.
