In Judaism, yetzer hara (Hebrew: יֵצֶר הַרַע, for the definite "the evil inclination"), or yetzer ra (Hebrew: יֵצֶר רַע, for the indefinite "an evil inclination") refers to the congenital inclination to do evil, by violating the will of God.
