There is Gezeirat Chachamim not to use the same utensils for dairy and meat, even if its not Ben Yomo (used within twenty four hours).

What if you accidentally used a non kosher vessel that wasn't used within twenty four hours to cook Kosher food, can you eat the food?

How about if you accidentally used a dairy pot cover for a meat pot, or vice versa?

How about glass, are they considered absorbent? There are different types of glass, some with a rim coated with metal or a metal handle. How does this implicate the Halachic ruling?
